Summer Dance Camp 2010
Open to dancers who have finished K-4th grade.
Monday - Thursday
$175 per week
9:30am - 1pm
Doors open at 9am and warm up begins at 9:30am
Extended day available. Stay til 2pm for $20 extra per week.
Week 1- July 5th-8th

New Summer Staff Members:
Lena DeLeo Lena received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Purchase in Art History and Psychology and is planning to attend The School of Visual arts for her Masters Degree in Art Therapy. Throughtout college Lena interened at the Neuberger Museum of Art as the student coordinator of a gallery guides program that she developed and taught along with her supervisor. Lena has worked at Anthropologie for just under 2 years as Visual Sales and then Display Coordinator (Visual Display Artist). In her spare time, Lena works on her art and practices yoga. She also plays the accordion, sings, and writes songs with her brother. The perform as a band called Dandy Lions.

Katie Stavitz
Katie graduated from Emerson College in Boston, majoring in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Dance. She will be attending The Steinhardt Graduate School at NYU in September. Katie studied Ballet, Jazz and Tap for 16 years at Dance Magic in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Katie currently attends Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and Improvisational dance classes at Emerson College. Katie has instructed dance classes at Dance Magic and has been a counselor at Dance Camp for several years. Katie was a featured dancer in many performances, from Cortlandt Manor to Epcot and all the way to the Bahamas!

Jaclyn Wesley
Jaclyn is a ntive of Rochester, NY where she currently attends Nazareth College. She is entering her junior year as she pursues a Mathematics with Asolescent Education Major and a Dance Minor. She has been on the Nazareth Varsity Dance Team for the past two years and will be captain this coming year. Jaclyn trained at Performance Plus Dance Produtions for 15 years studying and competing in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical. For the past 4 years, she has been a teacher at Performance Plus and will also be teaching at their dance camp this summer. Jaclyn has continued her training by taking ballet and choreography classes at Nazareth College, along with numerous workshops including a performance at City Walk in Universal Studios. Jaclyn loved teaching at HDTC Dance Camp last year and is very excited to be coming back this summer!

Caitlin Brady
Caitlin has been teaching Tap and Hip Hop at HDTC since January 2010. She spends her spare time taking Contemporary Jazz and Hip Hop classes at The Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. Caitlin was a Dance Major at Hofstra University. She studied Ballet and Modern focusing on Graham Floor Technique, and studied with Lance Westergard, Robin Becker, and Amy Marshall. Caitlin was a student choreographer and performer for both Danceworks and MoVom at Hofstra. She has the vision to fuse different genres of dance together to create choreography that inspires her dancers, and awes the audience!

Laura Craighill
Laura is a native of Lynchberg, VA. She currently teaches 2nd grade at Perrymont Elementary School. Laura graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Laura is very happy to joing the HDTC Staff and share her creative perspective on learning life skills. Laura loves to travel, she also takes yoga and pilates classes and enjoys reading.
